Forge Hammer

Weapon (Hammer), Very Rare (requires attunement)

The mythical forge hammers of Dimlodir were crafted from metals culled from the Molten Lake and fused with powerful magic. Even after centuries, the hammers are hot to touch as if they had just come of the Smith’s anvil.

While the Forge Hammers have been used by many of Dimlodir’s greatest warriors, their greatest achievement has been in the hands of the Smiths. No furnace is required to work metal when using these hammers. Simply striking a metallic object will start it glowing.

Mechanic

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

After making a melee attack, you can choose a manufactured metal object that your target is wearing or holding (such as a metal weapon or a suit of metal armor). The object begins to glow red-hot. The creature takes 2d8 fire damage and must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or drop the object if it can. If it can’t drop the object, it has disadvantage on Attack rolls and Ability Checks until the start of your next turn.

While attuned to this weapon, you are proficient with Smith’s tools, and you have advantage on skill checks that require them.

You can spend 3 days forging a +1 simple or martial weapon. You must provide the raw materials to complete the task. You do not need a forge.
