In the deep mines, the easiest way to fend off an enemy is to rig every corridor with deadly wards. With relatively little effort, you can create devastating coke points that can stall even the most vicious enemy advance. That is, of course, if your enemy doesn’t have a squad of ward troopers.
The singular objective of a ward trooper is to punch through and disable magical obstacles as quickly as possible. After their dangerous task is complete, they sit back and leave it to the regulars to mop up after them.
As a bonus action, you can enable this armor’s magical defense. Doing so gives you the following abilities:
- You have advantage on saving throws against spells.
- You are resistant to damage caused by magic.
- You sense the presence of magic within 30 feet of you as long as the magic is within line of sight.
- Your speed increases by 10 feet.
After 10 minutes, the effects of the magical defense end. You cannot use this feature again for 24 hours.
